ESTATE
Property of the family owner of Chateau Beausejour-Becot, 1st Grand Cru Classe B of Saint Emilion, Chateau Joanin Becot is one of the most beautiful references of the Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux.
Enjoying a privileged located in the commune of Saint-Philippe d’Aiguilhe, the Chateau Joanin Becot estate is spread over almost 13 hectares on great clay-limestone soils with asterias.
This is a gorgeous wine that delivers superb quality as well as value.
VARIETALS
Composition: 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc
Limited yields from vineyards with an average age of 40 years
VINIFICATION
Jean-Philippe Fort is the consulting winemaker. Winemaking: The wine aged in new oak barrels on the lees for 18 months
TASTING NOTES
Eye: Chateau Joanin Bécot is dark, open and quite seductive
Nose: Black cherry, plum, spice and leather all meld together in a very pretty, gracious wine
Mouth: the palate reveals blackberry and plum fruit with silky tannins and a lovely freshness on the finish
