Loire Valley is the longest wine region in France with vineyards stretching along the 800km of the Loire river from central France to the Atlantic coast. This results in a great diversity of wines, grapes and terroirs, and there is definitely a Loire Valley wine for each specific taste.
Loire Valley is today one of the most exciting region with amazing whites but there are red, sparkling and sweet wines that can compete with the best in the worlds.
All the vineyards in the Loire Valley have one element in common: the same latitude with a similarly cold climate. This element, coupled with the influence of the Loire river, brings a lot of freshness to the wines produced in the region.
Domaine du Clos du Roc is the former property of the Saint-Satur Abbey, founded in 1450 by the Augustinian monks. It is one of the few remaining domaines of the historical Saint-Satur village in Sancerre. Domaine du Clos du Roc has vineyards on the most beautiful soils of Silex in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé area.
Florian Mollet is the winemaker of the 15ha at Domaine du Clos du Roc since 2000. He has brought a lot of new techniques to the winery, creating elegant and sublime wines that showcase beautifuly the characteristics of the Terroir.
